Suitable for
Grout, tiles, porcelain, toilet bowls, and more.
🧻 Urine odour in bathrooms & toilets is quite a common smell (hello, boys 🧒), despite your best efforts to continuously clean the area (we see you, mamas). Don’t beat yourself up: porous grout and porcelain toilet bowls are the perfect environment for long term build up of smelly uric acid crystals.
🌟 BUT you don’t have to live with the lingering smell of urine for ever: urineFREE can help to get you rid of it permanently. Our probiotic urine remover eliminates the urine smell and the source, leaving you with a sparkling clean, fresh smelling bathroom.
🙅♀️ Regular cleaners will not remove 100% of the urine. urineFREE’s bacteria and enzymes’ action is designed to “eat” the smelly crystals.
Grout, tiles, porcelain, toilet bowls, and more.
Regular detergents and DIY remedies simply do not remove urine smells, because they can’t dissolve the uric acid crystals the way our bacterias and enzymes can. Worse, they encapsulate the crystals, making it difficult for urineFREE to penetrate.
It depends on how much urine has been deposited and how porous the surface is (grout for example, is very porous).
Use our urine detector to target the correct area and find hidden urine stains. Make sure you get 100% of the urine deposits!
urineFREE removes stains and smells permanently, or until a new deposit occurs. Make sure you’ve rinsed out any previous detergents to avoid uric acid crystals being encapsulated and then released, causing the smell to reappear.
Our products are non toxic, and safe for your family, human and pets included. They are eco friendly, vegan, cruelty free, and septic tank safe.
Porcelain and glazed surfaces can be found in a few areas around the house, such as (glazed tiles) bathrooms and toilets (porcelain toilet bowl). Porous grouting surrounding these is also to be considered when removing urine stains.
All of these materials are subject to long-term build-up of uric acid crystals. Please note we recommend a different course of action for old stains.
urineFREE can eliminate the urine smell and the source by “eating up” the uric acid crystals, leaving you with a sparkling clean, odour-free bathroom.
Before applying urineFREE, read our “Prior to application” instructions first to ensure your surface is prepared as best possible. Make sure to check our FAQ for specific instructions on each surface type.
How to apply urineFREE
The amount of urineFREE you are going to need depends on the amount of urine that has been deposited, if it has accumulated over time and the porosity of the surface you are treating.
For example one dog (depending on size) can urinate between 200-2000ml each day. Over 365 days this is a large accumulation of urine.
Therefore we cannot recommend an exact quantity as every case is different. The more urine you have, the more urineFREE you will need to eliminate the urine for good.
For ongoing maintenance in places where your pet is going to revisit such as lawn and synthetic grass, complete removal is costly, so we recommend the following:
Regular maintenance with urineFREE to reduce the long term odours. “Touch ups” with BackyardFRESH to provide temporary relief in between urineFREE treatments, and reduce the overall cost.
Read our guide on removing urine from synthetic grass to find out more.
It may take more than one application on old urine or for larger deposits. The sniff test will tell you when you’ve got it all. Once the odour is gone and if the grass is still being used by your pet, apply weekly for maintenance or as required.
